The Tap & Spile
A very well known and highly regarded traditional Pub, outside Monkgate in York.  This Tap & Spile featrues 6 real Ales for the discerning Cask Ale drinkers but you can also have a homemade Capaccino if that's more your style!
Food is served daily from 12 noon and there is an extensive menu to choose from.  Internal areas to either eat or drink and externally there is a car park,
a welcome facility in York.  The garden and patio area are extensive and offer a range of external eating and drinking options.  Smokers are catered for with a covered and heated area.

The Golden Fleece
Situated in the centre of the aincient City of York this Public House is one of the most famous old hostelries in the City.  Reputadly built in 1503, it is world renown as a 'Haunted Pub' and was featured on 'Livings' Most Haunted television programme.
The Golden Fleece has four charachter bedrooms and Bed & Breakfast is very popular as are the regular Ghost Nights.
Food is served daily and the menu is varied and interesting, featuring well established/favourite Pub meals plus modern English and Continental dishes.
There is a rear patio/garden area which caters for diners and smokers.
The Golden Fleece is an old established and well run public house, well located for all tourist and social nights out.

The Ackhorne
Locally known as 'Yorks best kept secret' is tucked away just a stones throw from the Micklegate madness.  Serving a wide range of Cask Ales since 1783 this cosy Pub is a pleasure to frequent.  Entertainment mainly consists of Dominoes, sing-a-longs to Piano playing regulars and quizzes.
Outdoors there is also a quaint Beer Garden for smokers.  Food is served at The Ackhorne daily.
The Ackhorne was originally 3 Cottages built between 1720 & 1730, the cottages were changed into the Pub in 1783.  The spelling of the Pubs name was changed back to 'Ackhorne' which is the old Nordic way when it was discovered in the Deeds.
Seeped in History this little Gem is well worth a visit.
